On 26 September, we celebrated the European Day of Languages, a special day that promotes linguistic diversity and encourages people of all ages to learn languages. It is celebrated every year across Europe to highlight the importance of languages and cultural understanding.
Our students enjoyed a variety of fun and engaging activities. We discovered that animals do not "speak" the same way in every country by comparing animal sounds in different languages. We also listened to the cheerful song Hello Around the World and learned how people greet each other in many languages. Finally, we completed a colour-code activity based on the official European Day of Languages logo.
Through these activities, our pupils explored the richness of languages, celebrated cultural diversity, and had fun learning about the world around them.
